I'll do ya one up... Denji's with S2000 projector HID setup 8) :jerkbow:

its similar in terms of output though since i modified the washers. Both are stanley projectors anyways..

I'll do you one more up. LS430 converted to bixenons :)

You sure about that? here's a pic of modified TSX with modified TL.. the S2k is comparable to the TL in terms of the low beam.

TL left, TSX right

#42329 yea you are right :( I was thinking TL.

TSX
Width - 4
Intensity - 6 (Only because intensity is mainly focused near the steps)

S2K
Width - 8
Intensity - 10

hahahah

but anyways its ok. i'll just rock some HID foglights with IS300 clear fogs 8)

but LS430 is the wider projector that rivals the S2k :)

#42330 True LS430 is wider then the S2k, btu the S2k is still the most intense for light output... well some would argue anyway, i would have to see both side by side

User avatar

#42412 either it was heat or too much voltage from the gauge clusters. :(

its ok, back to halogen red bulbs now. now to find cellophane red so i can make the clock red too.

#43433 Trying to be UKDM!

here are the rear foglight pics courtesy of graham. Thanks again!

I did a minor review of the differences between them as well.

Image

as you can see the USDM on the left and the UKDM on the right. The USDM has a more even red lighting to it.

further inspection when opened..

Image
UKDM has nothing behind the red.

Image
USDM has a white diffuser in the middle.

Image
On the bulb holder you can see the UKDM has a reflective metal lense where as the USDM has nothing.

Image

USDM uses a dual filament bulb 1157 where the UKDM uses a 1156 single.

Another note is that the harness has 5 pins.

which I am lead to read from left to right:

1.Parking Lamp Power (red)
2.Brake Lamp Power (green/yellow)
3.Reverse Lamp Power (green/black?) forgot already ahha
4.Ground (black)
5.Rear Foglight Lamp (Red)

USDM uses only the 1-4. UKDM uses 3-5.

I repinned my UKDM one to run off 1, 3, 4. I will make a harness soon enough so I can use a switch and make a hybrid USDM one which will have 1, 3, 4, 5

Here are pics of the pins ends

USDM

my repinned UKDM one where the red would've been at the right side.

and end result!

This gave me some random insight on how to make a USDM one into a UKDM. The part numbers on the outer lenses are IDENTICAL. The only part that is added is that white diffuser.
