#50553 Thanks guys and girl :P Im going to do some work to the engine before it goes in - i know the previous 2 owners and the timing belt was changed last summer and has done hardly any miles since, it looks brand new! Need to change the alternator belt but the rest are okay 8)

Im just going to clean it up and give it a good service, then once its running well think about exhaust and intake etc etc 8)

Nah a d15b produces more torque out of vtec, and matches a d16 when in vtec or so ive heard - i fancied something a bit different so thought id go with this one 8)

either way it bets a stock motor right :thumb: I just heard from a lot of guys on D-series.org that they wish they went with a D16Z6 or D16Y8. I had a built D16Z6 and I loved it, I use to tear up GSR swapped Eg's :thumb:

Keep up the good work 8)

#50828 Also here a 1.6 is higher tax so that was another reason, the d15b is still in the cheap tax bracket

Thanks though, will keep this updated as i go :thumb:

#53421 Been spending quite a bit of time cleaning up the engine, ive taken off pretty much everything thats attached to it so i can clean it all up and paint it, as you can see it was pretty grubby!

Image

Took off the gearbox, clutch and flywheel then used a load of degreaser and a wire brush to get rid of the rubbish

Image

As you can see, still looks quite dull! So gave it a lick of paint

Image

Really pleased with the finish, i was dreading painting it silver and it looking really tacky but i think it turned out well, i did the inlet manifold last week too

Image

More updates soon!
