#74518 Hy!
So basically i have 1992 Honda Civic SI hatchback D16Z6 SOHC VTEC (American version).
I'm planing to buy 1997 Honda Civic VTi sedan B16A2 DOHC VTEC (European version)...
My plan is to take out B16A2 from sedan and put it in my SI hatch...
Now i'm not sure about ECU's. I don't know what ECU's have those cars.. OBD1, OBD2 or some other? Can somebody please tell what ECU's have on both of these cars??? I know how to swap an engine, gearbox and all that stuff... But i'm not sure about electric stuff.... Please help. Do i have to swap ECU's? Wiring? Or what else? Any advices welcome! Thanks!

#74522 you'll need a conversion harnas and stuff. Cuz the 1997 vti is OBD2.

Or "rebuild" the vti engine to OBD1.

You'll need a P30 OBD1 ecu, OBD1 injectors, OBD1 ignition etc etc.

Nope, only the injectors. You prolly have a P28 ECU and a different ignition cuz it's SOHC and not DOHC :)

#74535 It would be cheaper to get a harness. Boomslang fabrication sell one for a decent price.
