NO they aren't. None of you have been reading anything I have written. Or anything that has been written about the D15B ... have you.
The JDM D15B is the same block as the USDM d15b7/b2/b8 ... the difference is the crank shaft it has d16 sized rod journals. It's basically a shorter dd16 rod.
The d15z1 has a longer rod (137mm, same as a d16) but uses the same crank as the d15b7, the reason for this is the wrist pin height on the z1
pistons.
Rod/length/BE bore (size of the part that attaches to the crankshaft)
d15b7/134mm/45mm
d16(all)/137mm/48mm
d15z1/137mm/45mm
JDM d15b/134mm/48mm
Is that clear enough ... or do you need to be spoon fed even more.
