to polish or paint

- Thu Mar 26, 2009 5:54 pm #105922 so im debaiting whether i should polish my oil pan or if i should paint it im gonna paint my block and head vivid blue so if it was polished it would really stand out down there . let me know what you guys think. :?

So it would rust if it got wet. Even if you cleared it it would get rock chips and still rust.

Yessir. When I took my pan off and cleaned it I smeared silicone over the rust spots. Ugly, but noone will see it. :thumb:

- Thu Mar 26, 2009 11:53 pm #106004 no i just have the motor out so i thought ide try a few different ideas and this is a car that will never see a rainy day once i get it done cause i have two other cars that i can drive so im not really all that worried about rain .but i will admit i didnt think about getting rock chips so i' ll paint it . thanks for the good advice guys.
