but over the weekend i finally got around to spray painting some teal hinges i had laying around and adjusted my door :woot:

I can't believe what a difference it made, not falling and sagging when you open the door..... i'm still excited about it lol, i'll post some pics later when i get home

also, i bought some tranny oil seals, some autometer gauges and the missing tubing that i needed so i'm stoked about that. and got my master gasket kit/acl duraglide bearings from FJ in the mail. just waiting on my rods/pistons! :thumb:

i started off with some interior upgrades, the CTR shift boot, the armrest console that i had to modify to get to fit, along with the optional console that needs a DIN gauge holder re-made:

the motor mount on the driver upper side broke on me so i need to find someone who sells the prothane inserts and i still need some ARP headstuds... :eh:

i have to crack the tranny and replace all the seals, paint it clean it up majorly, same with EVERYTHING, it's ALL f-ing dirty, so much dirt and oil everywhere...

sorry about the shitty blackberry pics but here is what i got done last night and yesterday after work:::

i broke open the tranny, pulled the internals out and cleaned up the casing cause it was a disaster. really dirty and oily... but nevertheless i busted out some solvent and went to town.

i primered and painted the 2 halfs: (well primered one)

- Wed Jul 08, 2009 6:14 pm #129224 1.) so i got my transmission back together yesterday and all painted black which looks pretty sick, i can't wait to see it in the bay :thumb:

2.) i also ported my oil pump with a dremel tool while i was waiting for the paint in the bay and tranny to dry.... still need to add some touch ups and clear the bay.

3.) i dropped off the engine at the machine shop here locally....is $25 for a hot tank and $90 for a bore a good price? i mean $115 total to clean/bore/hone the block aint bad? :? also he mic'd the crank and it checks out.

4.) but i have some BAAAAAD grooves in the crank from the front/rear main seals so i either need a speedi-sleeve or just move the seal to a different spot :twisted:

FJ Distributors sells ARP headstuds.
ebay has mount inserts, but looks like the driverside mount needs to be replaced.
good progress though!

oh wow i didn't know FJ sold ARP headstuds or i should have just ordered them a while ago :?

but i went to baxter auto parts and bought some energy suspension motor mount inserts for the bottom torque locations, the ARP headstuds ($10 a bolt!! ... are you kidding?) also some more paint and some various things. i will get more pics up as i progress.

i didn't work on the car yesterday cause i was pre-occupied with buying a used turbo kit with the biggest FMIC that i think is possible.... :hehe:
