this is gonna be my project,

due to my time,knowledge and money restraints .. stundent, no job, etc.

this project is gonna be long term, :roll:

heres what it looks like Atm..

Coming up soon :

*Paint bonnet black
*Paint bumper back to red ..
*Buy new fender paint red
*Get spoon/replica Front lip
*decals

Will be making progress posts regularly!

It's mainly just the bad paint . No rust or bad damage

when I paint fender / hood / bumper

I just wash , 600 grit sand , primer , paint , 1500 then 2000 grit sand .. Right ?

- Wed Oct 07, 2009 4:59 pm #149348 feather everything out with 400, then use 600 then use filler primer and flatten that with 800 then wash it as best as you can preferably with prep clean.

Then base coat give it light coats and build up, itll take time but its the best way to to it same with the clear.


Thats if your using cans.


Then 200 for dirt nibs and then polish.

Very good base for a project car.

Looks like an Si. Assuming its stock it has quite a bit of potential on even the stock d16z6 vtec engine.I had one of those and loved it.

Loving the tinted windows, I have been meaning to do that to my cars for far to long.

Good luck on your build, I look forward to seeing this progress.

as for decals .. I think they're awesome ..

I'm talking about brand decals btw , not like graphics

Starting painting next week


Btw : this is the jap ver. , I think it's a vti or something ,

we get jdm ver. In aus instead of usdm

and the engine is a JDM d15b, no idea what the stock engine was , I think it was a b16a ..
