#19708 Noob here (94 black EX coupe)

Does anyone else have issues with their hood latch sticking "open", after you pop the hood?

I have tried soaking the levers and rotating assembly with Aero-kroil. The return spring is attached and feels strong.
I suspect that the cable is corroded and gummed up inside the cable sleeve. (upstate NY car).

It is a simple enough matter for me to reach down and push the actuator back over and allow the hood to re-latch when I close it, but I would really rather fix this the right way.
I just have this vision of a no-toothed, greasy-ball-cap wearing, mechanic slamming the hood of my baby down, over and over again.... and with increasing force at each attempt... full of frustration at this "jap piece o sh1t", because he is too dumb and impatient to figure out why it isn't latching.

any help is appreciated.

#19748 I'd get a new cable and re-route it through the engine bay, insted of the fender........make it a lil harder for any potential thieves. :thumb:
