#228534 so ive been debating what i should go for, i like the supercharger because its easy for maintenance, less parts. easy to install :?
i kno everyone does turbo but i wanna go the other route.

my HP goals would be just around 250. i should be able to hit that with a jackson super charger right??

so like the question above, do u needa tune the engine if u install a supercharger?

thanks guys :) :D

#228537 Jackson Racing Superchargers are actually more expensive I think, yes more reliable but its all up to your perspective. Yes you need to get your Ecu chipped and tuned for boost.

Ha if you want to be different twin charge your motor (supercharged and turbo). Its a bich to tune from what I've heard but you will never see anyone else with that setup on the street. :thumb:

#228544 yea i saw a used jackson supercharger for 1000 on ebay. but yea i figured if u want the easy way but more expensive; supercharger. and the cheap but hard way; turbocharger.

im stuck between the two :( im just in a really tight budget, i saw a few volvo turbos in my local junkyard, they're so tiny! but i think they're t3s? :?

#228550 U need a tune after u put anything (power adder) on ur motor or else its not gonna run on its full potential...

#228566 damn lol i wont be able to afford tuning it, if i had the skills could i tune it myself without the use of a dyno?

sorry for these noob questions but someone has to answer them! :D

#228579 U don't need a dyno to get tuned... there's tuners out there that will do a street tune and it will be the same but u wolnt know the number output till u go to the dyno... :thumb:

Look for someone who does crome tuning and maybe they can do it for cheap...

#228601 Tuners can do street tuning, They will do a decent job, however they can't see your power band like a tuner on a dyno can. If you need a tune, they can get you by.

Getting a Dyno Tune will defentually net you some more power over a street tune.
