#204928 What I did was jack up the lca, put the flat of my breaker as close to the boot as possibe between the lca and knuckle (not close enough to squish the boot), then lower the lca locking the breaker in place then pryed the breaker downward. They popped right off and the driver side was all good afetrward, threaded up no problem, its just the bloody other side wont go. it goes far enough to put the cotter pin in but just not quite snugged up...

I heard that the bolt is tapered and putting upward force on the lca (creating downward force on the ball joint and more importantly the bolt) will help snug the bolt up and stop it turning? I tried jacking it upward and that hasnt helped.

If thats the case I think ill try putting some washers on the bolt (enough to give me enough of the part that threads before it starts turning) so as to pull the whole joint downward and lock it :? then try thread it all the way hopefully with the aid of some greasage...

#204936 so is the nut loose ?

cause if the nut is tight and you have play between the pin and the control arm it's worn out and needs replaced!!

#204947 it feels fine mate, there is no play it just turns so I cant fully tighten it... ive read all over the internet that its common in reassembly, even with people fitting new ball joints. im gonna persevere with it before i replace it, i need my money for getting my Z6 ready :hehe:
