I'm almost calling bullshit, and for a couple reasons.......

1. Your cluster doesnt even go to 160

thats true unless he has like an aftermarkt meter

thats true...is there a transmission that has a low enough gear to get there?

i know for the d-series you could do it if you had a d15b6 tranny but you would have to have a built motor

#26049 The LS trans has really long gears, maybe that one would get you there, but it'd probably take 1/2 hour to get to that speed, lol.

2. Me doing 145ish, put me in 5th gear VTEC at about 8800rpm's, so to get to 160, I can only imagine what the RPM's would have to be.

B18c-r, bolt on mods. my speedo went up to 180mph!

160mph on the clock @ about 8000rpm

really wish i still owned the civic to proove it.

#26110 Your speedo reads in KPH, not MPH.

#26118 dude, see the sticker "MPH"

for the car to be legal in the UK it has to run in MPH.

speedo convertor units convert it from KPH to MPH

#26124 I dont care what some sticker says. You guage face is printed in KPH, those numbers are in KPH.

On top of that, I had an ITR engine, I know what its capable of, and 160mph is something it just cant do.

My engine now will SMASH an ITR, and I cant even get my motor up that high, let alone a ITR with bolt ons.

#26126 ok then fella, you dont believe me... thats fine.

but remember my first post said

"160MPH on the clock but the GPS said 156MPH"

thats 1MPH over what a stock ITR is very well know for doing!

PLUS - yes the clocks read KPH before the speed convertor unit was added... as soon as the unit has been added the clocks read MPH, hence the MPH sticker!
