#37700 latest DIY:

got a pair of integra seats without headrests or railings for really cheap. decided to take a gamble in buying them, 'coz i really dunno how to install 'em
Image

first step was to remove the railings from my stock seats. took about 15 minutes, and we had to really tear the seat apart haha! then we used a grinder to isolate the lower portion of the railings, as that was what we really needed. took us an hour to do that haha!
Image

drilled new holes on to the railings, then tried fitting them in:

the other side took about 30 more minutes.

we tried installing the seat bottom, but turns out that the integra's bolt holes were set too close together, so we had to make improvised brackets from the spare metal from the railings.

after around 3 hours:

still too lazy to install the other one, plus the headrest i have on now is just borrowed. i need to find me a pair of my own, quick :D

the DIY brackets holding the seat to the outer side railing broke when i was driving home from work lol

decided to just go ahead and fabricate tougher brackets for the seats. asked for help from budek, who told me to just go and bring the car to their shop, where we fabricated a pair of flat mounts and a pair like this:

then welded them onto the seat's base:

seat's okay again, thanks to dave's salon

and now i finally got to put in the other seat lol

#126601 so i got a c-pillar bar as a gift from a friend. i tried installing 'em earlier today, but even fully extended there was still a gap:

tried putting nuts and washers, to no avail. so i hopped over to the machine shop down the street and had them weld together a nut and a big washer, then spot weld it to the frame:

initially, it was a baseball-sized hole, but i had problems with the fit, so i just cut away little portions until it fit.

the design of the bar's not the usual design so i had problems with it. haha.
