Sweet I hate doing wiring. Plus yours harness looks clean.

#284968 Ya, the harness was a pain. Especially w/the motor still in the car. I couldnt get the lengths correct.

Only drawback is I need the car here, I cant/wont travel to do a tuck anymore.

Also, I got your message on FB, but FB won't load on my phone so I havent replied. I got the MC's from SummitHere's the part numbers Brake:
WIL-260-10374 - $80, Clutch: WIL-260-2636 - $50. I got the adapter plates from QSD (Brake & Clutch)

Hit me up when you wanna do the tuck!

#284981 I understand that, and I will. And thanks for the info on the brake stuff.

#284990 got my subframe "pre" assembled, gonna be pulling it apart again to install the Quaife Quick Steer kit, (if I ever order it).

Image

Decided to paint the subframe and control arms satin black, and I used a can of Silver Ford touch-up paint on the rack. I like how it turned out. Nope, its no powder coat, but itll do just fine and cost a lot less!

#285039 This is from my second event... shitty run in the rain and glazed brakes.

It's public, so you should be able to see it. If not, I'll upload it to Youtube.

#285050 I dont know yet. Partly for a cleaner bay, I'll make sure to update when the brakes are done and the car is running on how the brakes perform.

Only draw back I've heard is the pedal is stiffer. Aside from that, maybe weight? I know the booster and OE master weigh more than the setup I'm running. Also, if for some reason the engine dies at a high speed, i'll still have brakes v. a power setup that runs on vac.

I ran a Willwood CMC cuz it was cheaper to go this route than it was to buy a new Sk2 CMC (and adapter plate).

I've heard manual brakes feel better than a power brake setup... I've driven my buddy's Baracuda and honestly the effort is just about the same, granted two different vehicles from separate era's, but still power v. non.

#285053 hmm... kinda makes you wonder if there is a difference with the weight of the car???

#285064 No booster for Auto X and Road Racing is best, due to the fact that you will never allow the booster to build vacuum between brake hits on the track. Basically with out full vacuum you don't have assist anyway which I am sure you have noticed during Auto X a time or too where it felt like you had to hit the brakes much harder. Without the booster you will get to know the car better and know exactly what the brakes are like at full throttle coming off a corner or into one. Because we are on and off the brakes and gas at the same time vacuum does not have time to build within the booster.

Does that make sense? It is hard to explain.
