- Sun Jul 27, 2008 6:14 pm #63507 I was meant to be getting a loan of an engine crane, then that never happened - got fed up waiting so just tried dropping it out the car and it was dead easy, my trolley jack lifted the car high enough and no more though - was a tight squeeze

Almost finished griding at last so will post more pics up when its all in primer

- Thu Aug 07, 2008 10:38 pm #65084 Right so i got rid of all the rust, took a looong time though. Did it in sections and used red oxide primer to hopefully prevent it rusting again anytime soon



Spent a while flattening it back and then primed it all in grey primer



Did the same again, flattened it back and primed again, then painted on some green today







And then lacquered it - put on loads, bit too much in places as i got a couple runs but i dont care haha

very nice job. what's the reason for the black on the bottom of the radiator support

Mine was originally like that, not sure if they all were though was going to do it green but you can see that bit through the bumper so think it looks better black once the bumper is back on

Put some more stuff back on today, put the master cylinder back on



Then connected up all my brake lines



And put the battery + fusebox back in aswell as sort out some wiring
